Before You Venture helps English-speaking travelers sort out the practical things before a trip: getting online, getting from the airport, renting a car, and booking tours and tickets. Each country page compares services you can book before you go and links straight to the companies that sell them.

Who runs it

Before You Venture is run by Daiga Internacional, a company based in Costa Rica. Its owner has lived in Costa Rica since 2019 and has also lived in Japan, has visited Panama and Colombia several times, and has traveled to 32 countries in all.

Waiting for the owner: Optional, for the owner to decide: showing the owner's name or a photo, and mentioning the years lived in the United States (1991–2019).

What that means for the pages

Each country page and guide carries a stamp that shows whether the owner has lived in or visited that country. Prices and booking conditions are checked against official sources and the sellers themselves. How we research explains both.

How the site is paid for
